Care instructions

At Qori Alpaka, we place great importance on the care and longevity of your garments. We want you to enjoy their softness and quality for a long time. Therefore, we offer you the best recommendations for their optimal care.

Wash

Hand wash (recommended)

 

To protect the fiber and avoid damage, hand washing is recommended:

  1. Use cold or lukewarm water (maximum 30°C). Hot water can cause clothes to shrink.

  2. Use a mild detergent or a special wool detergent. Avoid bleach, enzymes, or fabric softeners.

  3. Immerse the garment in the water and squeeze it gently without rubbing or wringing.

  4. Rinse it with plenty of clean water to remove detergent residue.

  5. Place the clothes on a towel and gently squeeze out excess water without twisting them.

 

Dry cleaning

 

If you prefer professional cleaning, you can take the garments to a trusted dry cleaner that has experience with natural fibers.

Dry

Do not hang, as the weight of the water may change the shape.

Lay flat on a dry towel and return to its original shape.

Allow to dry in a cool, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

Iron

Alpaca fibers are naturally wrinkle-resistant, but if ironing is necessary, please note the following:

 

  1. Use an iron at low temperature with steam function.

  2. Place a cotton cloth between the iron and the garment to protect the fiber.

  3. Do not apply excessive pressure as this may affect the natural structure of the fibre.

storage

  1. Store the garment in a dry and cool place to avoid moisture.

  2. Do not hang, but fold carefully to prevent deformation.

  3. To protect against moths, you can place lavender or cedarwood sachets in the closet.

General care instructions

  1. Avoid excessive friction with pockets or rough surfaces to prevent pilling.

  2. If stains occur, clean immediately with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent.

  3. Do not apply perfume or sprays directly to the fiber, as this can change the structure of the wool.
