The story of Qori Alpaka

I'm Katty, born and raised in Peru, a country rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Even as a child, I learned to appreciate the richness of our earth and our deep connection with nature. Every trip inland was a rediscovery - the ancestral traditions and, above all, the alpaca , a true treasure of the Andes . When I met Mark, my husband, I wanted to share the essence of my country with him. Together we traveled to Arequipa , one of the most important cities, where alpacas roam freely in their natural habitat across the vast Andean landscapes. There we witnessed the deep connection between the breeders and their animals - they raise alpacas ethically and sustainably , in harmony with the delicate Andean ecosystem. Qori Alpaca was born from this inspiration. Touched by the purity of alpaca fiber and the respect with which it is harvested, we felt the desire to share this natural and cultural treasure with the world. "Qori" means gold in Quechua, because for us, every garment is a precious treasure. More than just a brand, Qori Alpaca is a bridge between past and present, between tradition and modern elegance. Our mission is to offer alpaca fashion of the highest quality. Each fiber is a testament to centuries-old wisdom, spun by skilled hands that weave dreams—with a deep love for nature. Because wearing Qori Alpaca means carrying a piece of the Andes with you, feeling the connection to the earth, and appreciating fashion in a conscious way.
